WINE NOTES
Grignolino is light Italian red wine made from the grape type of the same name. The Grignolino grape is believed to have originated in the hills of Monferrato in central Piedmont, Italy and its name from the word “grignole” which means many pips or seeds in the Piedmontese dialect of the Asti region. Winemaker Mario Ronco uses a “slow pressing” technique to keep the tannins in balance due to the abundance of seeds in the grapes. This delicate red wine is made to be consumed young with a slight chill or coolness.
