Marquee Artisan Wines

Keith Brien serves as chief winemaker for Marquee Artisan Wines, and has acted as consultant for the brand since its inception. In this position, Keith carefully selects and recommends the wines and fruit for Marquee to use and coordinates the finishing, processing, packaging, and shipping of the wines from Australia. A former commercial pilot, Keith gave up his career in the clouds to start a career from the ground up – he founded Cleveland Winery in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria, in 1989, working as owner, manager, and winemaker. He utilizes the most up-to-date wine technology as well as age-old practices to produce award-winning chardonnay, pinot gris, pinot noir, cabernet blends, and sparkling wines, even receiving several awards from the esteemed James Halliday. Keith trained with prestigious winemakers in Pommard, Burgundy, and continues to observe, teach, and participate in viticultural and winemaking experiences throughout the world.
