Often, when I don’t feel like cooking something elaborate, I will throw together a salad for a quick, healthy dinner. A few nights ago, I made a great salad with shrimp, crab meat, avocado, and an array of other great veggies with a light vinaigrette (wish I had taken a picture!). It was a great salad and even better with Quattro Leoni 2008 Monferrato Bianco.

Now the Fun Part- Tasting the Wine
This Monferrato pours a rich gold in the glass. The crisp nose has intermingling aromas of pear, citrus, and a hint of grassiness. The palate is smooth with soft tastes of citrus, nectarine, and pear. At mid-palate, the Sauvignon Blanc shines through and you can taste notes of grassiness. The wine has a medium finish with a nice dose of lively acidity. A nice wine and the perfect match for our wonderful seafood salad!
My Wine Rating- B
Food Pairing Suggestions- This wine pairs perfectly with a shellfish salad, shrimp scampi, or grilled chicken with pasta.
