It’s summer here in the Midwest so we have been catching up on tasting great whites from the Marquee portfolio. A lovely time of year to grab some shade from the afternoon sun while sipping on our refreshing 2008 Grazioso (100% Torrontes) from our friends down in Mendoza, Argentina. Also, taste the new 2008 vintage of our Clemen Reserva Vinho Verde that has been racking up some great scores recently (87 WS, 88 WE, 92 BTI)!
Marquee has a couple exciting events planned and is looking forward to seeing all of our partners at the 2009 Miami Wine Fair, Sept.25th – 27th and meeting new friends and contacts at the 1st Annual Riverfront Wine Festival in Omaha, Nebraska on Sept. 19th and 20th!

- QUATTRO LEONI – ITALIAN LUXURY WINES – Marquee and partners keeps finding great gems all across the world and is proud to introduce our newest addition to the portfolio, Quattro Leoni from Piedmont, Italy. This red and white wine pair is a delicious set of wines brought to life by a family run winery in Northern Italy that has been making handcrafted wines since 1108.
- 2009 AUSSIE VINTAGE REPORT – Check out the latest vintage report from our head winemaker, Keith Brien on Victoria, Australia the home of the Marquee Aussie operations. A crazy year that included horrific bush fires and continued drought, everyone is being extra careful in fruit selection.
- WATCH OUT MALBEC PRODUCERS - Caligiore Organic Wines from Mendoza, Argentina was just awarded an amazing 91 Points – “Best Buy” from Wine & Spirits Magazine for the 2008 Reserve Malbec and 88 Points “Best Buy” for the equally fetching 2008 Staccato Malbec / Cabernet Blend, outstanding scores for wines that retail for $14.99 and $9.99 respectively. Keep up the great work Gustavo, you are truly making artisan, organic wines!
