History

Caligiore is a family undertaking, dedicated exclusively to the organic production of grapes and wines. Started in 2001 as the result of a project integrating a clear responsible social business policy and a personal goal of the founders, the Caligiore family, it is a self-made business, focused on concrete personal objectives in every aspect of the endeavor.

Interpreting the essence of the Mendocina (coastal region of Argentina) land, from the small, traditional, to the great Argentinean wines of olden days, the fundamental idea of this project was to create a first class line of premium Argentinean wines, certified under international standards for organic production. Bringing the consumer an alternative to enjoy high quality "organic" wines which are complex, show the terrior of the home soils, and and which are all vinified differently was a true challenge.. Every wine connects the work of the creators and the spirit of the land to express the essence of both, almost like a work of art, which moves those who try it.

Created from grapes from estate vineyards more than 900 meters above sea level in the areas of Maipú Luján de Cuyo en el Alto valle del Río Mendoza and under certification for organic standards for by the O.I.A (Organización Internacional Agropecuaria), these products are most definitely "hand crafted".
