FEATURED WINE OF THE WEEK: BACKSBERG KOSHER PINOTAGE

FEATURED WINE OF THE WEEK: BACKSBERG KOSHER PINOTAGE

We love South African wine! But, what could be better? Kosher, South African wine, of course! Better yet, Kosher Pinotage from South Africa!! Here’s why we love it:

This Kosher Pinotage by Backsberg Estate Cellars in Paarl, South Africa is 100% from the Pinotage grape, and it was wooded 30% for nine months. The oak derived vanillin nuances provide the perfect backdrop to youngberry and mulberry fruit flavours. Fresh, yet soft, this wine provides sheer Kosher Pinotage intensity with a supple finish. We suggest you enjoy this masterpiece with tomato based pasta dishes.Kosher Pinotage

Backsberg’s Kosher Pinotage wine is Mevushal and Kosher for Passover. It is made under the auspices of the Cape Town Beth Din and the OU of the United States. Currently, this wine is available at themarqueecellar.com in its 2010 vintage.
