    BLEND/COLOR: 100% Organic Monastrell, Red / Deep Ruby Black Cherry
    PALATE/BOUQUET: This wine has an excellent structure, highly concentrated with a long and intense spicy finish. Pair with grilled meats, pasta or flavorful cheeses.
    REGION NOTES: Placed on the highest vineyards windswept, dry and clean under the D.O. Yecla - able to grow organic grapes without having to treat for mildew, using pheromone traps to trap the moths. The vines are very old in plots with very sandy soils, reducing the chance of root born parasites. These vines have 9 sq meters per foot which help avoid contamination for adjacent vines.
    2008 VINTAGE NOTES: This vintage has strong acid and a pure bing cherry flavor. Predominant aromas of black fruit with fig and rosemary.
    2011 VINTAGE NOTES: The winter was mild and dry but led into a cool spring with moderate rain. Stable high temperatures in the summer and a dry period at the end of harvest. Low rainfall led to great concentration.

    BLEND: Sauvignon Blanc 100%, White

    COLOR: Brilliant straw with a touch of green apple.

    PALATE/BOUQUET: Lively and fresh on the palate, it offers lemon flavors with a hint of peach and a touch of ripe melon on the finish. Elegant and fruity nose typical of Sauvignon Blanc with its citrus and floral aromas. Pair with sea scallops, fresh garden salads, and wild strawberries.

    REGION NOTES: This Sauvignon Blanc from Yecla, Spain is made from very high-elevation vineyards (over 3000 Ft. above sea level). Harvested by hand, our wine maker develops a Sauvignon Blanc that is lighter in style, but has a good acidic backbone. This unique vineyard shows great promise in Spain and is sure to be a key to their success with international white varietals. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this wine proudly supports Autism Research.

    2008 VINTAGE NOTES: This wine was harvested at night, by beginning of September. For this wine, only the first pressing was used. Fermentation process is made under temperature control
  • CAPA ROTA MACABEO - Bodegas La Purisima (Yecla, Spain)

    BLEND / COLOR: 100% Macabeo, White / Champagne Straw (2010), Golden with green (2011)

    PALATE/BOUQUET: Fresh apple with citrus tones and a pleasant acidity. Peach notes hint at the fruity side with a balanced touch of minerals with white flowers. Pair with shrimp, scallops, and stir fry vegetables.

    REGION NOTES: Macabeo is a Spanish grape being placed around Spain. You can find some better adapted vines around the South East of Spain (Murcia) as well as very well known for CAVA processing (Cataluña and Valencia) , these grapes can also be found in other countries of France, Italy and even USA. The Capa Rota Macabeo is very fruity with white flowers, apple and even can some citrus notes with a balanced acidity.

    2010 VINTAGE NOTES: Created to be consumed fresh and young, this wine from the 2010 vintage is ready to be chilled and drank now!

    CAPA ROTA MONASTRELL / SYRAH BLEND - Bodegas La Purisima (Yecla, Spain)

    BLEND / COLOR: 70% Monastrell, 30% Syrah, Red - Deep Burgundy

    PALATE/BOUQUET: Rich red cherry notes showcase a medium bodied red with well integrated tannins A touch of cola with dark raspberry jam and bing cherries grab the nose and hint at a spicy undertone. Pair with grilled meats, lasagna, and roasted pork loin.

    REGION NOTES: Monastrell has been growing in Yecla for over 3000 years, for this reason the grape variety is very well adapted to our climate, where wines coming from Monastrell grapes are very fruity and well matured with a spicy undertone. The Capa Rota Monastrell (70% of the blend) comes from limestone and calcareous soil placed at 800 meters altitude, this wine has been aged in just a touch of oak to add length to the palate.

  • SARAO BOXED WINE - Bodegas La Purisima (Yecla, Spain)
    Available Vintages: 2011

    BLEND/COLOR: This wine is a delicate blend of Syrah and Monastrell. Red Cherry colour, with violet edges.
    PALATE/BOUQUET: Aromas of black fruits predominate along with blackberries, almost jammy and toasted notes. On the palate it is flavourful, well balanced and with spicy finish. Duck, lamb, sirloin steak, pasta and chocolate

    STYLE/AGING NOTES: Cold fermentation. Stainless steel aged. Fermentation lasted around ten days, at low temperature, in order to conserve the fruitiness adn the typical aromas of each grape variety. 3 liter bag in box. ABV: 13.8. pH: 3.62. Sugar: 3.8.
