Los Aljibes Estate

Los Aljibes is focused on creating functional, modern wines of high expression and was designed for this purpose in an architectural complex of refined culture. Los Aljibes Winery is part of Los Aljibes estate, located in Chinchilla de Montearagon, province of Albacete, Spain, in the Vino de la Tierra de Castilla wine producing region. The winery building is surrounded by 178 hectares of vineyards, cultivated at almost one thousand meters above sea level.

    Presents hints of chocolate supported with generous quantities of black fruit flavors, excellent balance, ripe tannins, and a long, pure finish. Offers up an excellent bouquet of ripe red fruit, vanilla bean, and spicy black currants. Pairs well with game and filet mignon.

    REGION NOTES
    Intense color layer very tall, very clean and bright. The nose highlights the aromatic potency, well assembled timber with fruit and spices. In the mouth it shows the power of ripe tannins, the wine produced is wide, long and elegant. The 2005 Aljibes is a blend of 35% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 30% Cabernet Franc aged for 12 months in French and American oak. Drink this lengthy effort from 2012 to 2020.
