Marquee proudly presents our first wines from the USA –2006 Classy Sauvignon Blanc and 2006 Classy Zinfandel–that showcase the unique and elegant wine styles available from small production batches in California. In search of “true class” we staked our flag directly into the heart of Lake County, California for these two wonderful single wine offerings.

BLEND / COLOR: Sauvignon Blanc 100%, White / Starbright straw with hints of green.
PALATE/BOUQUET: An elegant Sauvignon Blanc with good acidity and tropical flavors similar to the bouquet. Luscious melon and mango remain on a clean, lingering finish. A rich combination of passion fruit and peach with freshly cut green grass. Hints of aromatic spice and floral qualities add to the complexity. Pair with light salads, fresh shellfish, and poultry dishes.
REGION NOTES: Produced and bottled with partner X Winery from Napa, California we are pleased to showcase our first vintage of “Classy”. This joint effort is a blend of fruit from two vineyards (Syler & Shannon) in Lake County that are very close to Clear Lake, the largest “natural lake” in California. The proximity to the lake helps regulate the extreme temperatures of the region and are accentuated by the cool growing season of 2006. 100% stainless steel fermentation.

BLEND / COLOR: Zinfandel 100%, Red / Deep Ruby Red
PALATE/BOUQUET: Fruit forward with a graceful backbone of red fruit and acid. Raspberries, blackberry jam, and cinnamon give the Zin lover a smooth ride. From mid-palate to finish the cranberry notes give way to soft tannins. Rich berry and earth aromas are paired with allspice, cedar and a hints of dried roses. Pair with lasagna, flank steak & dried parmigiano cheese.
REGION NOTES: Produced and bottled with partner X Winery from Napa, California we are pleased to ‘ showcase our first vintage of “Classy”. This joint effort is focused on showing the “American Varietal” Zinfandel with a touch of American Oak and no malolactic fermentation. Blended from two estate vineyards in Lake County, the two sites were chosen to match higher acid levels with long and smooth tannins. Classy is a true premium treat.
