Simon Back of Backsberg Estates will be visiting the United States from September 6th through September 24th.
With 100 years of winemaking, Backsberg has become the first wine producer in South Africa and one of seven in the world to gain Carbon Neutral status by sequestrating its carbon emissions. The philosophy of Backsberg remains that of providing pleasure and enjoyment to a broad range of wine lovers by producing wines not only with structure and finesse, but also with a high level of “drinkability”. To put it simply, if you find the wines easy to drink then Backsberg has achieved its goal. This Backsberg philosophy exists under an overall umbrella of Care. Care of the land, the product and the people – and care of the environment in which Backsberg finds itself.
